My Maths product

 

Today in maths we did something where you stick toothpicks with blue-tack to make 3d shapes, like mine.

It was hard because it kept breaking. I worked with Connor, Charlie and Lily. I made a Pentagonal Prism. It has 7 faces, 15 edges and 10 vertices.

Tarantula Report

                                                                                    Tarantulas

Hairy Tarantulas:

They belong to a group called Araneae.

The Hairy tarantula is the largest and hairiest spider in the world.

Shades of brown, black and blue are most commonly found.

With its legs spread out, the Goliath Birdeater is 11 inches (28 cm) They have retractable (comes in and out) claws on each leg, like cats. 

Tarantulas are quite docile and rarely bite people.

They eat insects, It pounces out at night and gets it with its fangs.

Texas brown tarantulas clock their best running speeds at higher temperatures.

Tarantulas dig burrows and use silk to keep the walls from caving in. They are found in southwestern states.

My insect Inquiry

 

Hello, we chose this because we made some options we could choose from, there was clay insects and rock art we liked both. We started by having trouble but it started to get easier. My fact said the number of insects spieses in the world is six to ten million.

My DFI learning

What we were supposed to do is highlight the good ones green and the bad ones red, then right a comment about why you think it is bad or good. You have to put the thumbs up on green and the thumbs down on the reds. I'm working with Amber and Angus but Amber just came into DFI.

 Kia roa Everybody! Today the realise team came over and I was with Caroline. We did one point perspective and this is my picture.

My poem

                                                                        Dusk  

Dusk is fat, he is a champion eater.

His eyes are as blue as the sea.

His breath smells like hot dogs and lots of other rotten food.

He moves so sluggish that his nickname is snail.

His hand feels like disgusting sweat.

Dusk carys a hotdog in one hand and a burger in the other.

He speaks in a really low voice.

The Waterfall of Mud

Once there was a man called Matt. He lived in a wondrous and mystical world full of magic. One day he was riding his bike to work, but then his wand fell out of his pocket and when it touched the ground the ground turned to mud and half of the world lowered and lowered and lowered some more. As soon as the wand touched the ground it also disappeared down the steep river of mud. He gasped. He noticed that if he did this with his wand, the only way to take the spell back is that he would have to use his wand or go in the deep dark woods and get a special liquid by fighting the dark night god. Many people have tried but failed to do so. The reason everybody is trying to get the liquid is because it makes you stronger and it gives you some powers that nobody has. So he walked over the sticky brown mud, and he eventually got there. When he got in through the gate to the gods house he got stopped by 5 mighty looking guards. 

"What are you doing here!!!" the biggest guard yelled. 

"I'm here to see the night god" he said confidently. 

"Sorry dude, your not allowed to get the magic liquid any more". 

"No i'm ahhh oh i'm here to sign up for the servants", the guards looked at each other confusingly and let him in. 

He saw the pretty metallic golden poles holding the roof as the sun roof reflected on to the white concrete ground. At the end of the massive room the dark night god sat at his dark throne with swords sticking out of it, people say that if anyone other then the god touched it you would be cursed for LIFE. He saw the god and got very nervous. The god had a black top with pictures of skulls. He had a scary hyena at his side with a chain collar. He was so nervous that he ran out and said to the guards 

"I will be back with a visitor that is also signing up for the servants!!!" Once again the guards looked at each other confusingly. Matt came back with his friend John getting dragged behind him. 

"Remember the plan," Matt whispered to John, 

"I DIDN'T HEAR THE PLAN I DIDN'T EVEN SAY I WANTED TO COME, I SAID NO!!!" 

"Calm down John, they will hear you". John frowned. Matt bursted into the house and whispered

 "Let's make this quick." The god looked at them and got up from his mighty throne and said

"You two can not defeat me", 

"yes we can!!!" said Matt. He charged too the god and got so close that he charged back and replaced him with John and pushed him closer and closer to the god. Umm, John tried to run away but Matt didn't let him

"You got this John"

So John pulled out his wand from his pocket and started chanting a sentence.

"alegro zenthos!" 

The wand started to glow.

 "Flame ball!" he yelled but the god was to quick, he dogged it like its nothing.

"Super stomp!" he stomped so hard that the ground shacked and John and Matt tripped over, when they got back up they saw that the ground was covered with cracks. They had to be carefull.

"spash octo!" A massive wave splashed on to the god.

"Oh wait I just remembered that the gods only weakness is water" The dark night god climbed up one of the golden poles and holded on. 

"Fine, have the liquid I don't care just don't do that again!" So Matt walked home. When he got home he got out a glass and poured some magic liquid in the glass and drank the magic liquid and suddenly bright blue wings appeared on his back and a glowing halo turned up on his head. He held up his hands and a bright light beamed out of it and he shot it to the ground, the ground turned to concrete and half of the world was now the right length. Matt had hidden the magic liquid where nobody could find it. Matt and John lived happily ever after. THE END

The ninja

Once there was a teenage boy called Spencer, he was a secret nanja. He was playing a video game but then his mum told him to clean his room. As he did his mum was cleaning the controller of the video game. An electric bolt flew out of it. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. When he was finished he grabbed the controller and glitched in the game. There was a Massive lava monster coming his way, he gasped and noticed that he actually had a sword in one hand and a bomb in the other. He threw the bomb at the monster but it did not do anything but make him bigger and stronger, there was a massive buff arm above his head that said 20+. He hugged the nasty monster and it died. THE END      

The bus to town

I was super excited as I got in line for the bus trip. It was about 11.15 when I got on the bus. Spencer and my Dad came to. The bus is very loud, it sounded like a train. Once we got to town we went to Wendy's, Me and Spencer had a kids meal that had a cheese burger and fries and dad had a diffrent meal. After that we went to the nail salon, I got blue as the sea nails and green as grass nails repeated. Then we went back on the bus and went home.

Juce and the bean stork

This is the parachute. So what we have to do is put the egg in the basket and then drop the parachute from a high place. We loved doing this. Maybe you could try it some time. thank you!!

Me and Greta are doing Monday mashup and we chose Technology. we are doing jack in the bean stork. we have to make a parachute, jack is going to be made out of a wooden peg and the egg. this is the plan. we were planning to weave, but Greta doesn't fell happy about weaving so i'm going to weave and she is going to make a basket out of 5 square pieces of cardboard. thank you for reading my blog post!!!! :)   and i had so much trouble making the weaving box! :):):):)
